Moved by Welper, seconded by Cole that the Minutes of April 6, 2009, as proposed, be
approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Welper, seconded by Cole that a garbage refund in the amount of $21.00 for 1150
Home Park Boulevard be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Welper, seconded by Cole that a garbage refund in the amount of$1,575.00 for 520
Maxwell Street be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Welper, seconded by Cole that a garbage refund in the amount of$598.50 for 3220
Bethel Street be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Welper, seconded by Cole that a travel request for three Police Officers to attend 2009
USPCA Region 21 Detector Certification Trials in Waterloo, Iowa on April 26-29, 2009, with
costs not to exceed $450.00, be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Welper, seconded by Cole that a gravel request for Police Officer to attend ILEA
229th Basic Training Police Academy in Johnston, Iowa on April 26-July 31, 2009, with costs
not to exceed $5,200.00, be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Welper, seconded by Cole that the request of the Fire Chief for authorization to seek
bids for Zodiac boat with accessories and on-site assembly be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion
carried.
Moved by Welper, seconded by Cole that the request of the Leisure Services Director for
authorization to increase Sports Department's petty cash $50.00 for a total of $200.00 be
approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Cole, seconded by Welper that the request of the Superintendent of Traffic Operations
for pre-authorization to expend $2,969.63 for installation of six Prepare to Stop When Flashing
signs at Ridgeway and Highway 63 be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Cole, seconded by Welper that the request of the Superintendent of Traffic Operations
for pre-authorization to expend $4,000.00 for directional bore at the intersection of Broadway
Street and Parker Street be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Cole, seconded by Welper that the request of the Director of Cultural & Arts
Commission for pre-authorization to expend an additional $2.288.85 for a total up to $6,288.85
for conservation of the permanent artwork collection be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion
carried.
Moved by Cole, seconded by Welper that the request of the Superintendent of Waste
Management Services for pre-authorization to expend $11,389.12, plus estimated shipping costs
of$500.00, to rebuild Lagoon#2 pump be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Cole, seconded by Welper that the request of the Assistant Leisure Services Director
for pre-authorization to expend $7,200.00 for production of television commercials and airing of
commercials for the three golf courses be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
