Moved by Welper, seconded by Cole that the request of the Community Planning & Development Director for waiver of Finance Committee Pre-Authorization Policy for Homeowner Jumpstart Payments be approved. Councilperson Reggie Schmitt noted that because the Governor wants the money in the hands of citizens and businesses as soon as possible, the waiver will allow payments to be included in the Monday night bills payment without prior-authorization of the Finance Committee.
