Moved by Welper, seconded by Cole that the Minutes of March 17, 2008, as proposed, be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Welper, seconded by Cole that the request of the Airport Director for authorization to seek bids for one-year rental for a 20' rotary cutter and 72" front mount side mower be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Welper, seconded by Cole that the request of the Human Resources Manager for authorization to contract with Allen Hospital Occupational Health Services to conduct audiometric tests on approximately 300 employee at a cost of $16.00 per employee and respirator physicals on approximately 25 employees at a cost of$13.00-$52.00 per employee be approved. Moved by Welper, seconded by Cole that the request of the Leisure Services Facilities Manager for approval of electrical work by various vendors for Leisure Services structures at a cost not to exceed $25,000.00 be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Welper, seconded by Cole that a garbage refund in the amount of$165.00 for 2642 Cedar Terrace Drive be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Welper, seconded by Cole that a garbage refund in the amount of$126.00 for 3820 Hammond Avenue be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Welper, seconded by Cole that a garbage refund in the amount of $165.00 for 110 Kelly Court be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Welper, seconded by Cole that a travel request for Administrative Secretary to attend Excel Basics and Beyond the Basics Seminar in Cedar Falls, Iowa on May 12-13, 2008, with costs not to exceed $128.00, be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Welper, seconded by Cole that a travel request for Assistant Leisure Services Director and City Forester to attend Iowa Park and Recreation Association Spring Conference in Council Bluffs, Iowa on March 31-April 2, 2008, with costs not to exceed $565.00, be approved. Moved by Cole, seconded by Welper that the request of the Human Resources Director for pre- authorization to expend $5,250.00 for Right to Know and Fire Extinguisher training classes be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Cole, seconded by Welper that the request of the Human Resources Director for pre- authorization to expend $1,650.00 for AED unit for City Hall be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Cole, seconded by Welper that the request of the City Engineer for pre-authorization to expend $15,427.60, plus estimated shipping costs of $200.00, for four CAD computers be approved. Moved by Cole, seconded by Welper that the request of the Assistant Leisure Services Director for pre-authorization to expend less than $3,000.00 for six steel beams for two bridges at Iry Warren Memorial Golf Course be approved.
