Moved by Cole, seconded by Greenwood that the Agenda, as amended, be approved. Ayes:
Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Cole, seconded by Greenwood that the Minutes of October 15, 2007, as proposed, be
approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Greenwood, seconded by Cole that a travel request for Superintendent of Central
Garage to attend Sourcing in the Public Sector Seminar in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on November 5-
7, 2007, with costs not to exceed $475.00, be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Greenwood, seconded by Cole that a sewer refund in the amount of $233.52 for
1719 Zamora Drive be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Greenwood, seconded by Cole that a travel request for two Garage Mechanics to
attend Injectronics GM Training in Waterloo, Iowa on October 25, 2007, with costs not to
exceed $250.00, be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Greenwood, seconded by Cole that a travel request for Community Development
Coordinator and Manager of Rehabilitation Services to attend 2007 New Grantees Orientation
Conference in Washington, DC on November 26-28, 2007, with costs not to exceed $1,305.00
and $1,205.00 respectively, be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Cole, seconded by Gunderson that the request of the Director of Cultural and Arts
Commission for pre-authorization to expend $23,625.00 for exterior signage for the Phelps
Youth Pavilion and Waterloo Center For The Arts from Signs & Designs be approved. Ayes:
Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Cole, seconded by Gunderson that the request of the Director of Cultural and Arts
Commission for pre-authorization to expend $6,037.00, plus estimated shipping costs of
$105.00, to purchase furnishings for the Phelps Youth Pavilion — Digital Arts Lab from
Techline Iowa be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Cole, seconded by Gunderson that the request of the Director of Cultural and Arts
Commission for pre-authorization to expend an estimated amount of$20,000.00 to Van Doren
for mounting and farming services for paintings and textiles for Waterloo Center For The Arts
permanent collection be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Cole, seconded by Gunderson that the request of the Leisure Services Director for
pre-authorization to expend $24,750.00 for cost to set bollards at the Riverview Recreation
Area be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Cole, seconded by Gunderson that the request of the Leisure Services Director for
pre-authorization to expend less than $4,000.00 for soil for Tibbitts baseball complex be
approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Cole, seconded by Gunderson that the request of the Leisure Services Director for
pre-authorization to expend less than $3,000.00 for turf chemicals for various parks and the
downtown area be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Cole, seconded by Gunderson that the request of the Superintendent of Central
Garage for pre-authorization to expend $3,373.17, plus estimated shipping costs of$75.00, for
hydraulic valve for functions on Park Department's grapple truck be approved. Ayes: Three.
