Moved by Cole, seconded by Greenwood that the Minutes of July 9, 2007, as proposed, be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Greenwood, seconded by Cole that the request of the Police Chief for authorization to sell Vector lightbars and related equipment be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. The following bid received for F.Y. 2008 Flood Control Riprap Spraying was reviewed: Bidder Bid Amount Control Services $15,520.00 It was the recommendation of the Associate Engineer that the bid from Control Services in the amount of $15,520.00 be accepted. Moved by Greenwood, seconded by Cole that said recommendation be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Greenwood, seconded by Cole that the request of the Building Official/Maintenance Administrator for approval of additional cost of$2,300.00 for installation of steel poles for the Fire Training Center Exterior Lighting Project be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Greenwood, seconded by Cole that the request of the Fire Chief for authorization to seek bids for fire hose be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Greenwood, seconded by Cole that a yard waste refund in the amount of$135.00 for 919 E. Donald Street be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Greenwood, seconded by Cole that a travel request for Jr. Art Gallery Director to attend Madison Fine Arts Festival in Madison, Wisconsin on July 14-15, 2007, with costs not to exceed $183.00, be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Greenwood, seconded by Cole that a travel request for City Engineer to attend American Public Works Association Iowa Chapter 2007 Fall Conference in Iowa City, Iowa on August 15-17, 2007, with costs not to exceed $475.00, be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Greenwood, seconded by Cole that a travel request for Firefighter to attend Governor's Conference on Public Health in Des Moines, Iowa on August 2— 3, 2007, with costs not to exceed $240.00, be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Cole, seconded by Greenwood that the request of the Leisure Services Director for pre-authorization to expend less than $15,000.00 for chemicals for turf at municipal golf courses be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Cole, seconded by Greenwood that the request of the Building Official/Maintenance Administrator for pre-authorization to expend $16,500.00 for pool chemicals be approved. Ayes: Three.
