The meeting was called to order at 5:07 p.m.
Members present: Chairperson Gunderson, Greenwood.
Members absent: Cole.
Moved by Gunderson, seconded by Greenwood that the Agenda, as proposed, be approved.
Ayes: Two. Absent: Cole. Motion carried.
Moved by Gunderson, seconded by Greenwood that the Minutes of June 11, 2007, as proposed,
be approved. Ayes: Two. Absent: Cole. Motion carried.
Moved by Greenwood, seconded by Gunderson that a garbage refund in the amount of$31.50
for 1218 Easton Avenue be approved. Ayes: Two. Absent: Cole. Motion carried.
Moved by Greenwood, seconded by Gunderson that a travel request for a Police Officer and
Analyst to attend 4th Annual Governor's Homeland Security Conference in Des Moines, Iowa on
July 16-18, 2007, with costs not to exceed $636.22, be approved. Ayes: Two. Absent: Cole.
Motion carried.
Moved by Greenwood, seconded by Gunderson that a travel request for two Police Officers to
attend Precision Driving Instructor Course in Des Moines, Iowa on July 19, 2007, with costs not
to exceed $250.00, be approved. Ayes: Two. Absent: Cole. Motion carried.
Moved by Greenwood, seconded by Gunderson that the request of Executive Director of Human
Rights Commission for authorization to expend $450.00 to co-sponsor the Juneteenth
Multicultural Business Expo in Waterloo, Iowa on June 19, 2007, be approved. Ayes: Two.
Absent: Cole. Motion carried.
Moved by Greenwood, seconded by Gunderson that the request of the Police Chief for
authorization to seek bids for uniforms and supplies and ammunition and supplies be approved.
Ayes: Two. Absent: Cole. Motion carried.
Moved by Greenwood, seconded by Gunderson that the request of the Acting Fire Chief for
authorization to seek bids for fire hose for fire apparatus be approved. Ayes: Two. Absent:
Cole. Motion carried.
Moved by Gunderson, seconded by Greenwood that the request of the Leisure Services Director
for pre-authorization to expend $1,500.00 for a portion of the expense to prepare a Five Year
Black Hawk County REAP plan for outdoor recreation and natural resource management be
approved. Ayes: Two. Absent: Cole. Motion carried.
Moved by Gunderson, seconded by Greenwood that the request of the Superintendent of Central
Garage for pre-authorization to expend $1,455.00 for cost to rebuild pack cylinder for a garbage
truck be approved. Ayes: Two. Absent: Cole. Motion carried.
Moved by Gunderson, seconded by Greenwood that the request of the Leisure Services Director
for pre-authorization to expend less than $2,000.00 for meals for participants in Katoski/Kiwanis
and Elks golf tournament, Sports Sampler Program, Mayor's Neighborhood Rec. Program,
outdoor adventurers and River Hills day camp be approved. Ayes: Two. Absent: Cole.

Moved by Gunderson, seconded by Greenwood that the request of the Community Planning &
Development Director for pre-authorization to expend $700.00 for asbestos inspection fees for
327 West Park be approved. Ayes: Two. Absent: Cole. Motion carried.
