Moved by Greenwood, seconded by Gunderson that the Minutes of January 2, 2007, as
proposed, be approved. Ayes: Two. Absent: Cole. Motion carried.
Moved by Greenwood, seconded by Gunderson that a yard waste refund in the amount of$27.00
for 135 Linwood Avenue be approved. Ayes: Two. Absent: Cole. Motion carried.
Moved by Greenwood, seconded by Gunderson that a garbage refund in the amount of$31.50
for 1108 Hawthorne Avenue be approved. Ayes: Two. Absent: Cole. Motion carried.
Moved by Greenwood, seconded by Gunderson that a travel request for two Police Officers to
attend Iowa Law Enforcement Academy in Johnston, Iowa on January 15 —April 13, 2007, with
costs not to exceed $8888.32, be approved. Ayes: Two. Absent: Cole. Motion carried.
Moved by Gunderson, seconded by Greenwood that the request of the Superintendent of Waste
Management Services for pre-authorization to expend $1,374.39 for repair of pump motor #2 at
Park Road be approved. Ayes: Two. Absent: Cole. Motion carried.
Moved by Gunderson, seconded by Greenwood that the request of the Superintendent of Waste
Management Services for pre-authorization to expend $11,246.00, plus estimated shipping costs
of$200.00, for replacement of reel and cable for TV van be approved. Ayes: Two. Absent:
Cole. Motion carried.
Moved by Gunderson, seconded by Greenwood that the request of the Leisure Services Director
for pre-authorization to expend less than $2,500.00 for equipment parts for mowing equipment
from Great American Outdoor be approved. Ayes: Two. Absent: Cole. Motion carried.
Moved by Gunderson, seconded by Greenwood that the request of the Leisure Services Director
for pre-authorization to expend less than $1,300.00 for equipment parts for mowing equipment
from Waterloo Implement be approved. Ayes: Two. Absent: Cole. Motion carried.

for pre-authorization to expend less than $3,200.00 for steam cleaner for turf/mowing equipment
be approved. Ayes: Two. Absent: Cole. Motion carried.
Moved by Gunderson, seconded by Greenwood that the request of the Building
Official/Maintenance Administrator for pre-authorization to expend $1,300.00 for asbestos
removal as part of boiler replacement at Fire Station #6 be approved. Ayes: Two. Absent:
Cole. Motion carried.
Moved by Gunderson, seconded by Greenwood that the request of the Building
Official/Maintenance Administrator for pre-authorization to expend $1,988.61 for electrical
repair on City Hall lighting be approved. Ayes: Two. Absent: Cole. Motion carried.

Official/Maintenance Administrator for pre-authorization to expend $285.00 for shipping costs
for chemical treatment for closed systems and cooling tower for city buildings be approved.
