Moved by Cole, seconded by Greenwood that the Minutes of October 9, 2006, as proposed, be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. The following bid received for the F.Y. 2007 Repair of M.L. King Jr. Drive Bridge Approaches was reviewed: Bidder Bid Amount B&B Builders and Supply $7,050.00 It was the recommendation of the Associate Engineer that the bid in the amount of $7,050.00 from B& Builders and Supply be accepted. Moved by Greenwood, seconded by Cole that said recommendation be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. The request of the Leisure Services Director for approval of bids received for electrical work to be completed as part of the Riverfront Stadium Renovation Project at a cost not to exceed $65,000.00 was reviewed. Leisure Services will be using various contractors based on their availability, with total not expected to exceed $25,000.00 from any one contractor. Moved by Greenwood, seconded by Cole that said request be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Greenwood, seconded by Cole that the request of the Building Official/Maintenance Administrator for authorization to seek bids to install alarm system and video camera system at the Five Sullivan Brothers Convention Center be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Greenwood, seconded by Cole that a garbage refund in the amount of$138.82 for 217 Courtland Street be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Greenwood, seconded by Cole that a garbage refund in the amount of 52.50 for 626 Dawson Street be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Lou Cutwright, Building Official/Maintenance Administrator, discussed the treatments required for close loop systems for heating and cooling systems for city buildings at an earlier Building & Grounds Committee meeting. No further discussion was required by the Finance Committee. Moved by Greenwood, seconded by Cole that a travel request for Manager of Rehabilitation Services to attend Lead Professional Training in Dubuque, Iowa on November 6-10, 2006, with costs not to exceed $1,975.00, be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Greenwood, seconded by Cole that a travel request for Assistant City Engineer to attend Iowa Better Concrete Conference in Ames, Iowa on November 2, 2006, with costs not to exceed $150.00, be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Cole, seconded by Greenwood that the request of the Superintendent of Traffic Operations for pre-authorization to expend not to exceed $3,000.00 for directional boring 3" pvc conduit at Ansborough and Olympic's new traffic signal installation be approved. Moved by Cole, seconded by Greenwood that the request of the Leisure Services Director for pre-authorization to expend $25,000.00 for electrical work to be competed as part of the renovation of the South Hills Pro Shop be approved.
