Moved by Cole, seconded by Greenwood that the Agenda, as proposed, be approved. Ayes:
Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Cole, seconded by Greenwood that the Minutes of September 25, 2006, as proposed,
be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
The following bids received for remodeling projects for the Records section, the Crime Lab,
Police Sergeant's office and Interview room for the Police Department were reviewed:

It was the recommendation of the Police Chief that the low bid from Matt Parrott& Sons (Bid A)
in the amount of $40,034.11 be accepted. Moved by Greenwood, seconded by Cole that said
recommendation be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Greenwood, seconded by Cole that a garbage refund in the amount of$27.00 for 1118
Oregon Street be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Greenwood, seconded by Cole that a garbage refund in the amount of$1,878..00 for
2265 Fairway Lane be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Greenwood, seconded by Cole that a travel request for Police Captain to attend Amber
Alert and the Media Training in San Diego, California on November 13-15, 2006, with costs not
to exceed $330.00, be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Greenwood, seconded by Cole that an amended travel request for Waterloo
Commission on Human Rights & Waterloo Center for The Arts for the Cultural Arts Festival in
Waterloo, Iowa on September 21, 2006, with costs not to exceed $830.00, be approved. Ayes:
Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Greenwood, seconded by Cole that a travel request for Fire Captain and Mechanic to
travel to Denton, Texas on October 3-4, 2006 to examine aerial platform, with costs not to
exceed $320.00, be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Greenwood, seconded by Cole that a travel request for Chief Electrical Inspector to
attend IAEI Iowa Chapter Fall meeting in Johnston, Iowa on October 19-20, 2006, with costs not
to exceed $135.00, be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Greenwood, seconded by Cole that a travel request for Police Officer to attend Crime
Scene Reconstruction Seminar in Lincoln, Nebraska on October 24-27, 2006, with costs not to
exceed $753.60, be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Greenwood, seconded by Cole that a travel request for Police Officer to attend
Fundamentals of Crisis Negotiation Seminar in Bellevue, Nebraska on October 16-19, 2006,
with costs not to exceed $501.00, be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Cole, seconded by Greenwood that the request of the Superintendent of Traffic
Operations for pre-authorization to expend not to exceed $800.00 for traffic signal materials and
concrete for the Broadway and Park Road project be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
