Councilperson Greenwood now present at 5:01 p.m. Moved by Cole, seconded by Gunderson that a travel request for Waterloo Commission on Human Rights commissioners, staff, Police Department staff and community individuals for meal expenses of$335.71 for the Responding to Allegations of Racial Profiling, Building Trust Between Police and Community presentation in Waterloo, Iowa on May 17, 2006, be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Cole, seconded by Gunderson that a travel request for Police Officer to attend Defensive Tactics Instructor School in Johnston, Iowa on August 24, 2006, with costs not to exceed $112.00, be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Cole, seconded by Gunderson that a travel request for Police Sergeant and two Police Officers to attend Glock Armorer's School in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on July 20, 2006, with costs not to exceed $336.00, be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Cole, seconded by Gunderson that a travel request for Police Officer to attend Open Sight Rifle Recertification School in Johnston, Iowa on August 29-31, 2006, with costs not to exceed $327.00, be approved. Moved by Cole, seconded by Gunderson that a travel request for Police Captain to attend 3`d Annual Governor's Homeland Security Conference in Des Moines, Iowa on July 19, 2006, with costs not to exceed $162.00, be approved. Moved by Cole, seconded by Gunderson that a travel request for Police Officer to attend Open Sight Rifle Recertification School in Johnston, Iowa on August 29-30, 2006, with costs not to exceed $327.00, be approved. Moved by Cole, seconded by Greenwood that the request of the Superintendent of Central Garage for pre-authorization to expend $2,210.00 to purchase tires for the Police Department be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Cole, seconded by Greenwood that the request of the Superintendent of Central Garage for pre-authorization to expend $2,088.90, plus estimated shipping costs of$65.00, for replacement engine for Engineering vehicle be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Cole, seconded by Greenwood that the request of the Leisure Services Director for pre-authorization to expend $1,196.98 for parts for drinking fountains in the parks be approved. Moved by Cole, seconded by Greenwood that the request of the Leisure Services Director for pre-authorization to expend $5,237.79 for installation of new emergency lighting above arena spectator seating and repair of existing emergency lighting be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Cole, seconded by Greenwood that the request of the Leisure Services Director for pre-authorization to expend $10,834.44 for labor and material for installation of 400 amp square D panel at Riverfront Stadium be approved.
