Moved by Greenwood, seconded by Cole that the Minutes of April 10, 2006, as proposed, be
approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Greenwood, seconded by Cole that a garbage refund in the amount of$31.50 for 324
Home Park Boulevard and $105.00 for 523 Moir Street be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion
carried.
Moved by Greenwood, seconded by Cole that a garbage refund in the amount of $528.00 for
3849 Memory Lane be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Greenwood, seconded by Cole that a garbage refund in the amount of$16.50 for 806
Evergreen Avenue be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Greenwood, seconded by Cole that a travel request for Airport Maintenance to attend
Airport Security Coordinator Training School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on June 22-23,
2006, with costs not to exceed $1,325.00, be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Greenwood, seconded by Cole that a travel request for Human Rights Executive
Director to attend 9th Annual St. Louis Regional Fair Housing Conference in St. Louis, Missouri
on April 26-28, 2006, with costs not to exceed $637.38, be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion
carried.
Moved by Greenwood, seconded by Cole that a travel request for a Police Captain, Lieutenant
and two Sergeants to attend Quota-Free Police Productivity System in Cedar Falls, Iowa on May
16, 2006, with costs not to exceed $410.00, be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Greenwood, seconded by Cole that a travel request for three Police Lieutenants to
attend Police Management School in Johnston, Iowa on June 5-9, 2006, with costs not to exceed
$2,244.00, be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Greenwood, seconded by Cole that a travel request for Police Investigator and
Civilian Planner to attend 1st Annual Gangs, Guns and Drugs Training Conference in Las Vegas,
Nevada on April 30 — May 5, 2006, with costs not to exceed $1,878.20, be approved. Ayes:
Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Greenwood, seconded by Cole that a travel request for a Police Investigator and two
Police Officers to attend Midwest Gang Conference in Louisville, Kentucky on May 13-17,
2006, with costs not to exceed $2,836.56, be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.

Highway 21 be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Cole, seconded by Greenwood that the request of the Superintendent of Traffic
Operations for pre-authorization to expend $10,465.50, plus estimated shipping costs of$50.00,
for street name signs and brackets be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Cole, seconded by Greenwood that the request of the Superintendent of Central
Garage for pre-authorization to expend $3,757.00 for garbage truck transmission be approved.
Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Cole, seconded by Greenwood that the request of the Superintendent of Central
Garage for pre-authorization to expend $1,300.00 for repair/replacement of cylinder head be
approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Cole, seconded by Greenwood that the request of the Superintendent of Central
Garage for pre-authorization to expend $6,950.00 for cost to repair John Deere crawler be
approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Cole, seconded by Greenwood that the request of the Superintendent of Central
Garage for pre-authorization to expend $1,376.36, plus estimated shipping costs of$204.18, for
paint storage cabinets be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Cole, seconded by Greenwood that the request of the Superintendent of Traffic
Operations for pre-authorization to expend $1,871.74 for parts for bucket truck be approved.
Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Cole, seconded by Greenwood that the request of the Police Captain for pre-
authorization to expend $2,098.64 for electrical improvements at the Police Department Training
Center be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Cole, seconded by Greenwood that the request of the Police Captain for pre-
authorization to expend $4,844.22 for materials and labor to construct a new control tower for
the Police Department Training Center firearms range be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion
carried.
Moved by Cole, seconded by Greenwood that the request of the City Engineer for authorization
to increase Line Item 3112 (Local Option Sales Tax) in the amount of$145,874.00, Line Item
3365 (State RISE Grant) in the amount of $138,315.00, Line Item 3800 (Miscellaneous
Revenue-Sanitary Sewer Funds) in the amount of $44,957.00, Line Item 2103 (Engineering &
Consulting) in the amount of $54,000.00, Line Item 2163 (Sanitary Sewers) in the amount of
$44,957.00, Line Item 2165 (Streets & Roadways) in the amount of $222,630.00 and Non-
Participating Miscellaneous Bike Trail in the amount of$7,559.00 be approved. Ayes: Three.

Moved by Gunderson, seconded by Greenwood that Bills Payment, as contained in Schedule
AP640, dated April 17, 2006, pp. 1-75, in the amount of$1,680,559.57, be received, placed on
file and approved and forwarded to the full council for approval. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
