Moved by Cole, seconded by Greenwood that the Agenda, as proposed, be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Cole, seconded by Greenwood that the Minutes of February 6, 2006, as proposed, be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. The request of the Building Official/Maintenance Administrator for approval of Change Order No. 1 for a net increase of$26,228.00 in conjunction with the Police Locker Room Remodel was reviewed. The Police Chief and Maintenance Administrator determined that it would be reasonable to relocate the tactical locker room while the remodeling of the Men's Police Locker Room project was in an open state of construction. On January 24, 2005, the Building and Grounds Committee approved moving forward with the additional remodel for the Police Tactical Unit at an additional cost of$24,200.00. On February 7, 2005 the Finance Committee approved the additional $24,200.00 cost. The total change order is $26,228.00. which is $2,028.00 above the estimated cost of the additional work. Moved by Greenwood, seconded by Cole that a travel request for City Engineer to attend 2006 American Public Works Association Iowa Chapter Spring Conference in West Des Moines, Iowa on March 8-10, 2006, with costs not to exceed $370.00, be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Greenwood, seconded by Cole that a travel request for Community Development Coordinator to attend HUD Training for the Certified HOME Specialist Program in Chicago, Illinois on February 27 — March 2, 2006, with costs not to exceed $969.00, be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Cole, seconded by Greenwood that the request of the Police Chief for pre- authorization to expend $8,364.06 for cost of repairs to Police Patrol car #113, a 2004 Ford Crown Victoria 4-door, be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Cole, seconded by Greenwood that the request of the City Clerk for pre-authorization to expend $25,658.41 for cost for November 8, 2005 Municipal Election and December 6, 2005 Runoff Election be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Cole, seconded by Greenwood that the request of the Superintendent of Traffic Operations for pre-authorization to expend an additional $109.31 for shipping costs for a battery backup system for the intersection of Kimball and Ridgeway Avenues for a total cost of $2,899.31 be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Cole, seconded by Greenwood that the request of the Superintendent of Traffic Operations for pre-authorization to expend $1,080.16 for additional cost to purchase equipment for the battery backup system for the intersection of Ridgeway Avenue and Highway 63 and Kimball Avenue, Campbell, Williston and West 4th Street be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Cole, seconded by Greenwood that the request of the Superintendent of Traffic Operations for pre-authorization to expend $1,710.00, plus estimated shipping costs of$215.00, for cost to purchase 120 gallon paint cabinet, 90 gallon cabinet tower and one funnel be approved.
