Moved by Welper, seconded by Clark that the Agenda, as proposed, be approved. Ayes: Three.
Motion carried.
Moved by Welper, seconded by Clark that the Minutes of November 14, 2005, as proposed, be
approved. Ayes: three. Motion carried.
The following bids received for replacement of two furnaces for the Police Training Center were
reviewed:
Bidder Bid Amount
A'Hearn Plumbing & Heating $4,755.00
Young Plumbing & Heating Co. $4,920.00
H&H Heating & Air Conditioning, Inc. $5,784.00
It was the recommendation of the Building Official/Maintenance Administrator that the bid from
A'Hearn Plumbing & Heating, Inc. in' the amount of$4,755.00 be accepted. Moved by Welper,
seconded by Clark that said recommendation be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
The following bids received for carpeting of Rooms 10-13 at the Five Sullivan Brothers
Convention Center were reviewed:

Flooring Gallery $15,513.54
Bids for this project were previously reviewed by the Finance Committee on October 10, 2005.
At that time the contract was awarded to Flooring Gallery at a cost of$13,885.64. A complaint
was received from one of the bidders that Flooring Gallery did not quote the same brand that was
installed under the major renovation of the second floor at the Five Sullivan Brothers Convention
Center. Flooring Gallery resubmitted the bid of $15,513.54 using the same brand of carpet as
submitted by the other two vendors. Moved by Welper, seconded by Clark that the bid from
Flooring Gallery in the amount of$15,513.54 be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Welper that the request of the Superintendent of Waste
Management Services for pre-authorization to expend $5,921.00, plus estimated shipping costs
of$75.00, for the cost of repairs on a high pressure pump be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion
carried.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Welper that the request of the Superintendent of Streets for pre-
authorization to expend $8,100.00 for cost to purchase motor grader blades be approved. Ayes:
Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Welper that the request of the Superintendent of Streets and
Superintendent of Traffic Operations for pre-authorization to expend $7,989.60 to purchase
Challenger lift be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Welper that the request of the Police Chief for pre-authorization to
expend $87,990.92 for surveillance equipment for the LEIN Region 2 surveillance team be
approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
