Moved by Welper, seconded by Clark that the Agenda, as proposed, be approved. Ayes: Two. Absent: Greenwood. Motion carried. Moved by Welper, seconded by Clark that the Minutes of July 18, 2005, as proposed, be approved. Ayes: Two. Absent: Greenwood. Motion carried. Moved by Welper, seconded by Clark that the request of the City Planner for approval of payment of invoice in the amount of $4,250.00 from Maxim Technologies for Phase II Environmental work for the Fed Ex Ground Project in MidPort America Plat No. 2 be approved. Ayes: Two. Absent: Greenwood. Motion carried. The request of the Fire Chief for authorization to seek bids for two program cars was reviewed. Fire Rescue will be removing a 1991 Caprice, 1992 Caprice and 1992 Ford Tempo from their fleet. The two program cars will be used for inspections and for the medical supervisor. Moved by Welper, seconded by Clark that said request be approved. Ayes: Two. Absent: Greenwood. Motion carried. The request of the Fire Chief for authorization to seek bids for equipment for new pumper and replacement of rescue equipment at an estimated cost of $80,000.00 was reviewed. The equipment purchase includes nozzles, hose, hose appliances, water guns and rescue equipment. Moved by Welper, seconded by Clark that said request be approved. Ayes: Two. Absent: Greenwood. Motion carried. Moved by Welper, seconded by Clark that the request of the MIS Director for approval of donation of three retired computers to Union Missionary Baptist Church be approved. Ayes: Two. Absent: Greenwood. Motion carried. Moved by Welper, seconded by Clark that a garbage refund in the amount of$189.00 for 541 Hope Avenue be approved. Ayes: Two. Absent: Greenwood. Motion carried. Moved by Welper, seconded by Clark that a travel request for Police Lieutenant, Police Investigator and Police Officer to attend Urban Potential Seminar in Waterloo, Iowa on August 15, 2005, with costs not to exceed $198.00, be approved. Ayes: Two. Absent: Greenwood. Motion carried. Moved by Welper, seconded by Clark that a travel request for Police Officer and Civilian Planner/Operations Contractor to attend Criminal Intelligence Analysis Training in Madison, Wisconsin on July 31 —August 5, 2005, with costs not to exceed $1,972.85, be approved. Ayes: Two. Absent: Greenwood. Motion carried. Moved by Clark, seconded by Welper that the request of the Fire Chief for pre-authorization to expend $6,000.00 for repairs to Engine 305 be approved. Ayes: Two. Absent: Greenwood. Motion carried. Moved by Clark, seconded by Welper that the request of the City Clerk for pre-authorization to expend $8,152.48 for renewal of ambulance drivers insurance with Western World Insurance Company be approved. Moved by Clark, seconded by Welper that the request of the Superintendent of Streets for pre- authorization to expend $9,039.57 for a transmission for 1999 John Deere grader be approved. Ayes: Two.
