Moved by Welper, seconded by Clark that the Agenda, as proposed, be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion Moved by Welper, seconded by Clark that the Minutes of May 9, 2005, as proposed, be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. The request of the Superintendent of Central Garage for authorization to purchase cab over truck with flat bed and related equipment at a cost of$22,790.00 to be used by the Traffic Operations Depai tuient was reviewed. The following quotes were received: Bidder Bid Amount Cedar Rapids Truck Center $22,790.00 (excludes equipment) Hawkeye International of Waterloo, Iowa $24,300.00 (excludes equipment) After receiving quotes, the Superintendent of Central Garage found it more beneficial to purchase new rather than used. It was the recommendation of the Superintendent of Central Garage that the low quote from Cedar Rapids Truck Center in the amount of $22,790.00 be accepted. Moved by Welper, seconded by Clark that a travel request for Police Depai tnient Clerk to attend Basic Iowa System Training in Des Moines, Iowa on May 17-20, 2005, with costs not to exceed $104.70, be approved. Moved by Welper, seconded by Clark that a travel request for three Police Sergeants to attend Urban Potential Seminar in Waterloo, Iowa on May 24, 2005, with costs not to exceed $198.00, be approved. Moved by Welper, seconded by Clark that a travel request for two Police Officers to attend Basic SRT School in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on May 31-June 3, 2005, with costs not to exceed $232.88, be approved.
