Moved by Welper, seconded by Clark that a travel request for Police Investigator to attend LEIN course in Des Moines, Iowa on April 25-May 6, 2005, with costs not to exceed $1,195.00, be approved. Moved by Welper, seconded by Clark that a travel request for Registrar to attend Upper Midwest Conservation Association Workshop in Iowa Falls, Iowa on April 28-29, 2005, with costs not to exceed $295.00,be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Welper, seconded by Clark that the request of the Fire Chief for approval of annual software support contract with Visionary Systems, Ltd. For the FIREHOUSE software at a cost of$2,060.00 be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Clark, seconded by Welper that the request of the Mayor for pre-authorization to expend $450.00 for city's share of printing costs, awards, postage for the 2005 Mayor's Volunteer Performance Awards recognition and Leonard Katoski Volunteer award be approved. Moved by Clark, seconded by Welper that the request of the Building Official/Maintenance Administrator for pre-authorization to expend $3,800.00 to purchase fence with slats for material storage for Traffic Department, subject to lowest bidder not to exceed $3,800.00, be approved. Moved by Clark, seconded by Welper that the request of Superintendent of Traffic Operations for pre-authorization to expend $2,560.00 to purchase brackets used for installation of new street signs be approved. Moved by Clark, seconded by Welper that the request of the Leisure Services Director for pre- authorization to expend $38,500.00 for purchase of golf course chemicals for use at the three municipal golf courses be approved.
