Moved by Welper, seconded by Clark that the Agenda, as proposed, be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Welper, seconded by Clark that the Minutes of January 3, 2005, as proposed, be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. The request of the Superintendent of Central Garage for authorization to seek bids for six black and white patrol cars, two detectives cars and two Ford Explorers for the Police Department was reviewed. The patrol cars and detective cars would be paid through GO Bond monies, and the Explorer would be funded using Lein Region II grant monies with no match for the city. State bid price and local Ford dealer price would be used through the bidding process. Moved by Welper, seconded by Clark that said request be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Welper, seconded by Clark that a travel request for Young Arena Maintenance Worker to attend Safe Ice Resurfacer Operations Training in St. Paul, Minnesota on January 11- 12, 2005,with costs not to exceed$340.00,be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Welper, seconded by Clark that a travel request for two Police Officers to attend Law Enforcement Academy in Johnston, Iowa on January 10-April 8, 2005, with costs not to exceed $7,520.08, be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Welper, seconded by Clark that a travel request for City Forester to attend Midwestern Chapter of International Society of Arboriculture Annual Conference in Bettendorf, Iowa on February 2-4, 2005, with costs not to exceed $389.40, be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Welper, seconded by Clark that a travel request for Forestry Foreman to attend Midwestern Chapter of International Society of Arboriculture Annual Conference in Bettendorf, Iowa on February 2-4, 2005, with costs not to exceed $329.40, be approved. Moved by Welper, seconded by Clark that a travel request for Cultural & Arts Commission Director and Curator to deliver exhibition to museum in Sioux City, Iowa on February 4-5, 2005, with costs not to exceed$280.00,be approved. Moved by Clark, seconded by Welper that the request of the Fire Chief for pre-authorization to expend $4,405.10 to purchase five sets of bunker gear with boots and helmets be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Clark, seconded by Welper that the request of the Superintendent of Central Garage for pre-authorization to expend $1,547.00 to purchase a hydraulic pump for a snowplow be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Clark, seconded by Welper that the request of the Superintendent of Central Garage for pre-authorization to expend $2.326.25 to repair automatic transmission on an automated garbage truck be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Clark, seconded by Welper that the request of the Superintendent of Waste Management Services for pre-authorization to expend $9,030.00 to repair two boilers at the Waste Management administration building be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Clark, seconded by Welper that the request of the Leisure Services Director for pre- authorization to expend$2,368.08 for concrete to be used for improvements at the Dane Baseball Complex be approved.
