Moved by Welper, seconded by Clark that the Agenda, as proposed,be approved. Ayes: Three.
Motion carried.
Moved by Welper, seconded by Clark that the Minutes of November 8, 2004, as proposed, be
approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
The following bid received for electric motors for the Police Department Firing Range was
reviewed:
Bidder Bid Amount
Motor Winding Co. $9,570.00
It was the recommendation of the Police Chief that the bid from Motor Winding Co. in the
amount of $9,570.00 be accepted. Moved by Welper, seconded by Clark that said
recommendation be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Welper, seconded by Clark that the request of the Fire Chief for authorization to
purchase parts to repair the starter on Medical Unit 334 at a cost of $2,107.71 be approved.
Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
The request of the Fire Chief for authorization to update five Automatic External Defibrillators at
a total cost of$3,000.00 was reviewed. This purchase will allow the Fire Department to use the
defibrillators on infants and children, which is now a standard recommendation by the American
Heart Association. The cost per unit is $600.00. Moved by Welper, seconded by Clark that said
request be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Welper, seconded by Clark that a garbage refund in the amount of$720.00 for 3820
Hammond Avenue be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Welper, seconded by Clark that a travel request for Visiting Performer for Center For
The Arts to travel to Waterloo, Iowa on September 30 — October 3, 2004, with costs not to
exceed$150.00,be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Welper that the request of the Airport Director for pre-
authorization to expend$15,500.00 for stripping, finishing and painting of Airport-owned hangar
leased to Livingston Aviation be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Welper that the request of the Airport Director for pre-
authorization to expend $6,831.00 for painting the exterior of the Airport-owned McCandless
maintenance hangar be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Welper that the request of the Superintendent of Traffic
Operations for pre-authorization to expend $21,000.00 to purchase four video detection cameras
for Highway 63 and Donald Street be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Welper that the request of the Superintendent of Waste
Management Services for pre-authorization to expend $2,880.00 to purchase 200 foot 15 inch
truss pipe be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Welper that the request of the Leisure Services Director for
authorization to increase Line Item 1521 (Electrical) in the amount of$2,500.00, Line Item 1549
(Lumber) in the amount of$5,000.00, Line Item 1581 (Paint) in the amount of$1,500.00, Line
Item 2152 (Bldg Improvement) in the amount of$33,500.00 be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion
carried.
