Moved by Welper, seconded by Clark that the Agenda, as proposed, be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Welper, seconded by Clark that the Minutes of August 16, 2004, as proposed, be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Welper, seconded by Clark that a travel request for two Police Officers to attend Partnership in Safe Schools Training in St. Louis, Missouri on September 13-16, 2004, with costs not to exceed $375.00,be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Welper, seconded by Clark that a travel request for three Police Officers to attend Field Training Officer Certification Course in Appleton, Wisconsin on October 10-15, 2004, with costs not to exceed $2,665.00, be approved. Moved by Welper, seconded by Clark that a travel request for Housing Coordinator and Housing Inspector to attend IAHO HQS Certification Training in Waterloo, Iowa on October 6-8, 2004, with costs not to exceed $700.00, be approved. Moved by Welper, seconded by Clark that a travel request for Curator to travel to Danville, Illinois on August 31, 2004 to deliver exhibition, with cost not to exceed $275.00, be approved. The request of the Fire Chief to approve bid received from Bertch Cabinets in the amount of $1,697.43 for the purchase of new kitchen cupboards for Fire Station No. 5 was reviewed. The cabinets being replaced are the original cabinets installed when the fire station was built in 1948. Installation of the cabinets will be performed by firefighters at no cost to Waterloo Fire Rescue. Moved by Welper, seconded by Clark that said request be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Clark, seconded by Welper that the request of the Leisure Services Director for pre- authorization to expend $9,740.00 to purchase trees for the Plant Some Shade Project be approved.
