Moved by Welper, seconded by Clark that the Minutes of July 6, 2004, as proposed, be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. The request of the Superintendent of Traffic Operations for authorization to start the bidding process for two temporary speed humps was reviewed. The Traffic Department has mailed 39 petitions forms to residents requesting the speed humps and 28 have returned the petition forms. Total costs for the speed humps is estimated at $8,000.00, which will be purchased with GO Bond funds. Moved by Welper, seconded by Clark that said request be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Welper, seconded by Clark that a travel request for Chief Combination Inspector to attend 2003 International Residential Codes Seminar in St. Louis, Missouri on July 25-30, 2004, with costs not to exceed $1,955.00, be approved. Moved by Welper, seconded by Clark that a travel request for two Rehabilitation Specialists to attend Iowa Association of Housing Officials 20-Hour Housing Quality Standards certification in Waterloo, Iowa on October 6-8, 2004, with costs not to exceed $700.00, be approved.
