Moved by Welper, seconded by Greenwood that the Agenda, as proposed, be approved. Ayes:
Two. Absent: Clark. Motion carried.
Moved by Welper, seconded by Greenwood that the Minutes of May 3, 2004, as proposed, be
approved. Ayes: Two. Absent: Clark. Motion carried.
Moved by Welper, seconded by Greenwood that the request of the Superintendent of Central
Garage for authorization to purchase one Ford F-350 One Ton Truck at a cost of$20,878.00 to
be used by the Street Department and one Ford F-350 4x4 One Ton Truck at a cost of$24,541.00
to be used by the Leisure Services Department be approved. Ayes: Two. Absent: Clark.
Motion carried.
The following bids received for F.Y. 2004 Traffic Control for Repair of Railroad Crossings were
reviewed:

Service Signing, L.C. $4,006.00
It was the recommendation of the Associate Engineer that the bid from Service Signing, L.C. in
the amount of $4,006.00 be accepted. Moved by Welper, seconded by Greenwood that said
recommendation be approved. Ayes: Two. Absent: Clark. Motion carried.
Moved by Welper, seconded by Greenwood that a garbage refund in the amount of$31.50 for
247 Oak Ridge Road be approved. Ayes: Two. Absent: Clark. Motion carried.
The request of the Airport Director for authorization to seek bids to sell two airport pickup trucks
was reviewed. The current vehicles are eight years old and in need of replacement. The Airport
is scheduled to receive one pickup truck under a federal grant for snow removal and one in the
FY05 Capital Improvement Program. The vehicles are one 1996 Ford F-150 XLT extended cab
and one 1996 Ford F-150 XLT regular cab pickup trucks. Moved by Welper, seconded by
Greenwood that said request be approved. Ayes: Two. Absent: Clark. Motion carried.
Moved by Welper, seconded by Greenwood that a travel request for Traffic Engineer, Signal
Technician Foreman, and Signal Technician II to attend Auto Scope Camera Detection Training
Session in High Ridge, Missouri on May 18-19, 2004, with costs not to exceed $460.00, be
approved. Ayes: Two. Absent: Clark. Motion carried.
Moved by Welper, seconded by Greenwood that the request of the Leisure Services Director for
pre-authorization to expend not to exceed $8,200.00 for yearly preventive maintenance on the
Vilter Ammonia Compressor be approved. Ayes: Two. Absent: Clark. Motion carried.
Moved by Welper, seconded by Greenwood that the request of the Superintendent of Waste
Management Services for pre-authorization to expend $1,410.00, plus estimated shipping costs
of$100.00, to repair flow tube for the effluent flow meter at Conagra be approved. Ayes: Two.
Absent: Clark. Motion carried.
Moved by Welper, seconded by Greenwood that the request of the Superintendent of Central
Garage for pre-authorization to expend $2,160.00 to purchase automatic transmission for a rear
loader garbage truck be approved. Ayes: Two. Absent: Clark. Motion carried.
