Moved by Welper, seconded by Clark that the Agenda, as amended, be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Welper, seconded by Clark that the Minutes of March 8, 2004, as proposed, be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. The following bids received 4-part Iowa Police Citation and Complaint form were reviewed: Bidder Bid Amount Professional Office Services Inc. $792.00 G.A. Thompson Co. Inc. $892.50 It was the recommendation of the Police Chief that the bid from Professional Office Services Inc. in the amount of $792.00 be accepted. Moved by Welper, seconded by Clark that said recommendation be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. The request of the Police Chief for authorization to seek bids for new workstation furniture, file cabinets and flooring for the Police Department Watch Commanders Office was reviewed. The Watch Commander's office is occupied 24 hours a day, seven days a week and is usually the first office that citizens enter when visiting the Police Department after normal business hours. The modular workstation in the office is at least 12 years old and the flooring is approximately 6 years old. Moved by Welper, seconded by Clark that said request be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Welper, seconded by Clark that a sewer refund in the amount of $40.32 for 4865 William Drive be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Welper, seconded by Clark that a travel request for Fire Department Instructor to teach classes in Boscobel, Wisconsin on March 23-25, 2004, with costs not to exceed $400.00, be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Welper, seconded by Clark that a travel request for Police Officer to attend FBI Instructor Development Course in Johnston, Iowa on March 28-April 2, 2004, with costs not to exceed $335.00,be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Welper, seconded by Clark that a travel request for a Police Sergeant, Police Lieutenant, and Police Investigator to attend Iowa Association of Women Police Annual Conference in Mason City, Iowa on March 14-16, 2004, with costs not to exceed $395.00, be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Welper, seconded by Clark that a travel request for Chief Financial Officer to attend GFOA Annual Conference in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on June 11-16, 2004, with costs not to exceed $1,500.00, be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Clark, seconded by Welper that the request of the Fire Chief for pre-authorization to expend $14,015.00 to purchase opticom equipment for six intersections be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Clark, seconded by Welper that the request of the Police Chief for pre-authorization to expend $538.83 to repair 2002 Ford Crown Victoria police patrol car #103 be approved.
