Moved by Clark, seconded by Greenwood that the Agenda, as proposed, be approved. Ayes: Two. Absent: Welper. Motion carried. Moved by Clark, seconded by Greenwood that the Minutes of February 23, 2004, as proposed, be approved. Ayes: Two. Absent: Welper. Motion carried. The request of the Police Chief for authorization to seek bids for installation of equipment in six police patrol cars was reviewed. The equipment includes an in-car video camera, moving radar unit, security partition and transport seat, an inc-car computer, an emergency lgihtbar, siren, radio and control panel to operate the equipment. The process will involve the transfer of most of the equipment from an old patrol car that will be removed from service to the new patrol car. Some electrical wiring and other necessary components will also be installed. Moved by Clark, seconded by Greenwood that said request be approved. Ayes: Two. Absent: Welper. Motion carried. Councilperson Welper now present at 5:01 p.m. Moved by Clark, seconded by Greenwood that an amendment to the travel request for an additional $220.00 for Plan Review Specialist and Combination Building Inspector to attend 2003 IBC Plan Review Seminar in Des Moines, Iowa on March 22-23, 2004, with costs not to exceed $638.00,be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Clark, seconded by Greenwood that a travel request for Chief Electrical Inspector to attend Iowa Chapter Annual International Association of Electrical Inspectors meeting in Okoboji, Iowa on April 4-7, 2004, with costs not to exceed $490.00, be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Clark, seconded by Greenwood that a travel request for Leisure Services Director to attend Iowa Park and Recreation Association State Conference in Des Moines, Iowa on April 4- 7, 2004, with costs not to exceed $538.00, be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Clark, seconded by Greenwood that a travel request for Associate Engineer to attend Asphalt Paving Association of Iowa 45th Annual Workshop in Des Moines, Iowa on March 3-5, 2004, with costs not to exceed $120.00, be approved. Moved by Clark, seconded by Greenwood that a travel request for Cultural & Arts Curator to travel to Lafayette, Indiana to pick up exhibition for Waterloo Center for the Arts on March 13- 14, 2004, with costs not to exceed$606.00, be approved.
