Moved by Getty, seconded by Jordan that the Minutes of April 21, 2003, as proposed, be
approved. Ayes: Two. Absent: Hurley. Motion carried.
Moved by Getty, seconded by Jordan that a garbage refund in the amount of$55.50 for 1936
West 3rd Street and 423 Euclid Avenue be approved. Ayes: Two. Absent: Hurley. Motion
carried.
Moved by Getty, seconded by Jordan that the request for authorization to seek bids for
emergency access at Highway 21/San Marnan Drive be approved. Ayes: Two. Absent: Hurley.
Motion carried.
Moved by Getty, seconded by Jordan that a travel request for Firefighter/Paramedic to attend
Mobile Aircraft Rescue Training in Dubuque, Iowa on April 29, 2003, with costs not to exceed
$300.00, be approved. Ayes: Two. Absent: Hurley. Motion carried.

Moved by Getty, seconded by Jordan that the request of the Police Chief for pre-authorization to
expend $3,088.13 to repair police vehicle #843 be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Getty, seconded by Hurley that the request of the Leisure Services Director for pre-
authorization to expend $5,287.00, plus shipping costs of$307.60, to purchase play equipment
for Lichty Park be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Hurley, seconded by Getty that the request of the Superintendent of Central Garage
for pre-authorization to expend $2,000.00 to purchase an Allison transmission for a Street
Department truck be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Hurley, seconded by Getty that the request of the Superintendent of Central Garage
for pre-authorization to expend $1,290.00 to purchase hydraulic pump for a Street Department
truck be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Hurley, seconded by Getty that the request of the Superintendent of Central Garage
for pre-authorization to expend $1,326.21 to purchase a Ford remanufactured transmission for a
Police Department canine car be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Getty, seconded by Hurley that the request of the Fire Chief for pre-authorization to
expend $1,027.50 to purchase IV Start Kits for the ambulances be approved. Ayes: Three.
Motion carried.
Moved by Hurley, seconded by Getty that the request of the Building Official/Maintenance
Administrator for pre-authorization to expend $2,432.00 for installation of seven insulated glass
panels at the Waterloo Public Library be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Getty, seconded by Hurley that the request of the Police Chief for authorization to
increase Line Item 1325 (Crime Prevention) and Line Item 3361 (State Grants) in the amount of
$500.00, be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
