Moved by Hurley, seconded by Getty that the Agenda, as amended to add Item No. 4 under New Business,be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Hurley, seconded by Getty that the Minutes of December 9, 2002, as proposed, be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Hurley, seconded by Getty that a travel request for City Forester to attend International Society of Arboriculture - Midwest Chapter Annual Conference in Springfield, Missouri on February 4-7, 2003, with costs not to exceed $522.00, be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Hurley, seconded by Getty that a travel request for Mayor Rooff to attend 71 St Winter Meeting of the United States Conference of Mayors in Washington, DC on January 22-24, 2003, with costs not to exceed $1,733.00,be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Hurley, seconded by Getty that a travel request for Director of Cultural & Arts Commission and Curator to travel to West Lafayette, Indiana and Chicago, Illinois to meet with artists and curators and attend opening of F.L. Wright Exhibit on February 1-5, 2003, with costs not to exceed $695.00, be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Hurley, seconded by Getty that a revised travel request for Director of Cultural & Arts Commission to travel to West Lafayette, Indiana and Chicago, Illinois on November 25-27, 2002, with original costs not to exceed $428.00, with corrected travel request not to exceed $488.00, be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Getty, seconded by Hurley that the request of the Leisure Services Director for pre- authorization to expend $2,685.40 to purchase parts for equipment be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Getty, seconded by Hurley that the request of the Police Chief for pre-authorization to expend $14,264.25 to purchase eight Dell Pentium IV PCs and one Dell Power Edge 4600 Server be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Hurley, seconded by Getty that the request of the City Clerk for pre-authorization to expend $18,209.40 to pay costs for special election held on August 20, 2002 for referendum on 1 percent location option sales tax to be used for Vision Iowa project be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Getty, seconded by Jordan that the request of the Assistant Superintendent of Waste Management Services for pre-authorization to expend $4,795.00 to pay mowing contractor be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Hurley, seconded by Getty that Bills Payment, as contained in Schedule AP640, dated December 16, 2002, pp. 1-119, in the amount of$2,369,355.48. be received, placed on file and approved and forwarded to the full council for approval. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. With no further business before the committee, it was moved by Hurley, seconded by Getty that the meeting be adjourned at 3:33 p.m. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
