Moved by Getty, seconded by Hurley that the Agenda, as amended, be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Getty, seconded by Hurley that the Minutes of July 22, 2002, as proposed, be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. The request of the Fire Chief to purchase three stair chairs for a total cost of $5,685.00 was reviewed. The stair chair is used to move patients up and down stairs where cots will not maneuver and it also functions as a wheel chair. The Model 6252 Stair Chair has a track system that allows the patient to be moved and down the stairs without having to lift the patient while negotiating the stairs. The cost for one chair is $1,895.00. Moved by Getty, seconded by Hurley that said request be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Hurley, seconded by Getty that payment to Fairview Cemetery in the amount of $10,000.00 be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Hurley, seconded by Getty that the request of the City Clerk for pre-authorization to expend $8,596.00 for Iowa League of Cities Annual dues for the period of July 2002 through June 2003 be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Getty, seconded by Hurley that the request of the City Clerk for pre-authorization to expend $6,346.44 for the renewal of ambulance drivers liability insurance be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Hurley, seconded by Getty that the request of the Leisure Services Director for pre- authorization to expend $1,283.10 for shrubbery at Iry Warren Memorial Golf Course be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Getty, seconded by Hurley that the request of the Executive Director of Human Rights Commission for pre-authorization to expend$3,705.00 for Administrative Law Judge services be tabled for one week until Human Resources staff is present. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Hurley, seconded by Getty that Bills Payment, as contained in Schedule AP640, dated July 29, 2002, pp. 1-80, in the amount of$2,173,398.83,be received,placed on file and approved and forwarded to the full council for approval. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. With no further business before the committee, it was moved by Getty, seconded by Hurley that the meeting be adjourned at 3:32 p.m. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
