Moved by Hurley, seconded by Jordan that the Minutes of June 3, 2002, as proposed, be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. The following bids received for ammunition for the Police Department were reviewed: Biel Aunt Ultramax Ammunition .223, 69 grn. Reload $189.00 per 1000 rounds .223, 69 grn. Match $223.00 per 500 rounds .308, 150 grn. AE $163.00 per 500 rounds .308, 169 grn. Match $245.00 per 500 rounds OMB Police Supply .40 RA40T, 180 grn. $83.30 per 500 rounds .40 Q4238, 180 grn. $60.61 per 500 rounds 12 ga. Buck Low Recoil $118.70 per 500 rounds 12 ga. 1 oz. Slug Low Recoil $121.22 per 500 rounds It was the recommendation of the Police Chief that the above bids be accepted. The bids received for a copy machine for the Police Department were reviewed. Bid proposals were sent to four local vendors, and the Police Department received responses from all four.s Some responses included a bid for multiple models of a copy machine. All bids received meet the specifications. It was the recommendation of the Police Chief that the low bid from Iowa Business Machines for a Sharp AR 235 at a cost of$3,220.00, plus $962.00 for a stapler/finisher, for a total cost of $4,182.00 be accepted. Moved by Hurley, seconded by Jordan that the request of the Fire Chief for authorization to seek bids for a copy machine be approved, subject to approval by the Public Safety Committee. Ayes: Two. Moved by Hurley, seconded by Jordan that the request of the Fire Chief for authorization to purchase a power point projector at a cost of$2,300.00 be approved, subject to approval of the Public Safety Committee. Ayes: Two. Absent: Getty. Motion carried. The request of the City Engineer for authorization to purchase a used microfilm reader/printer at a cost of $8,000.00 was reviewed. The Engineering Department's current microfilm reader/printer for large documents uses dry silver paper for printing. The Engineering Department just recently learned that dry silver paper is no longer available. A new plain paper microfilm reader/printer costs $37,000.00. Advanced Systems, Inc. has located a very good used machine that can be purchased for $8,000.00. Funds are available in the Road Use Tax Fund Budget to purchase the machine.
