RESOLUTION NO. 2010-669
RESOLUTION APPROVING THE REQUEST OF DICK AND
DON HURST FOR A SITE PLAN AMENDMENT TO THE
"S-1" SHOPPING CENTER DISTRICT LOCATED NORTH
OF 2102 KIMBALL AVENUE GENERALLY LOCATED AT
THE NORTH END OF THE KIMBALL RIDGE SHOPPING
CENTER NEAR THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF KIMBALL
AVENUE AND WEST RIDGEWAY AVENUE FOR THE
DEVELOPMENT OF CONSTRUCTION OF A 2,543 SQUARE
FOOT COFFEE SHOP/RESTAURANT IN THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, BLACK HAWK COUNTY, IOWA.
WHEREAS, it has been proposed that the Council of
the City
of Waterloo, Iowa, approve a site plan amendment to the "S-1"
Shopping Center District located north of 2102 Kimball Avenue
generally located at the north end of the Kimball Ridge
Shopping
Center near the northwest corner of Kimball Avenue
and West
Ridgeway Avenue for the development of construction of
a 2,543
square foot coffee shop/restaurant, legally described as
follows:
Lots 101 and 102 of Second Addition to Kenyon's
Addition to the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County,
Iowa, and also, the 16' easement in Second Addition to
Kenyon's Addition that lies South of Lots 101 and 102
in said addition, all in the City of Waterloo, Black
Hawk County, Iowa.
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on August 2, 2010, at
5:30 p.m., at City Hall Council Chambers, Waterloo, Iowa, as
provided by law, by the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, on
the proposal to approve said above mentioned site plan amendment,
and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of this Council that said site
plan amendment should be approved as proposed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that a site plan amendment to the "S-1"
Shopping Center District located north of 2102 Kimball Avenue
generally located at the north end of the Kimball Ridge Shopping
Center near the northwest corner of Kimball Avenue and West
Ridgeway Avenue for the development of construction of a 2,543
square foot coffee shop/ restaurant, be and the same is hereby
approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 2nd day of August, 2010.
