On Proposed Plans. Specifications. Form
of Contract, And Estimate of Cost For the
FY 2023 SERGEANT ROAD TRAIL
BRIDGES NO.2 AND 3 REPLACEMENT
In the City of Waterloo, Iowa
CONTRACT NO. 1070
RECEIVING OF BIDS
Sealed proposals will be received by the
City Clerk o1 the City of Waterloo, Iowa, at
her office in the City Hall of the said City
on the 21st day of July, 2022 until 1:00
p.m. for the construction W the FY 2023
SERGEANT ROAD TRAIL BRIDGES NO.
2 AND 3 REPLACEMENT, Contract No.
1070, as described in detail in the plans
and specifications now on file in the Office
of the City Clerk.
OPENING OF BIDS
All proposals received will be opened in
the Harold Getty Council Chambers,
second floor of City Hall, in the City of
Waterloo, lowa, on the 21st day of July,
2022 at 1:00 p.m., and the proposals will
be acted upon at such later time and
place as may then be fixed by the City
Council. The bid opening will be
livestreamed on YouTube and made
available on the city website.
PUBLIC HEARING
Notice is hereby given that the Council of
said City will conduct a public hearing on
the proposed plans, specifications, form
of contract, and estimate of cost for the
construction of the above -described Im-
provement project at 5:30 p.m. on the 1st
day of August. 2022, said hearing to be
held in the Harold E. Getty Council
Chambers in City Hall in said City. The
proposed plans, specifications, form of
contract. and estimate of cost for said
improvements heretofore prepared by the
City of Waterloo are now on file in the
office of the City Clerk for public
examination, and any person interested
therein may file written objection thereto
with the City Clerk before the date set for
said hearing, or appear and make
objection thereto with the City Clerk
before the date set for said heating, or
appear and make objection thereto at the
meeting above set forth.
SCOPE OF WORK
The extent of the work involved is
removal of two failed wooden trail bridges
and replacing them with a Reinforced
Concrete Box Culvert (Location 2) and
RCP cuNerts (Location 3), construction of
PCC recreation trail at each location and
required grading and stabilization
Published pursuant to the provisions of
Chapter 26 of the City Code of Iowa and
upon order to the City Council of said
Waterloo, Iowa, on the 5th day of July,
2022,
