RESOLUTION NO. 2022-443
RESOLUTION APPROVING VARIANCE TO NOISE
ORDINANCE REQUEST FROM CEDAR VALLEY IRISH
CULTURAL ASSOCIATION, IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE
IOWA IRISH FEST EVENT, TO BE HELD ON AUGUST 4-7,
2022, IN AND AROUND LINCOLN PARK AND
SURROUNDING STREETS TO INCLUDE A NOISE
VARIANCE FOR THE DURATION OF THE FESTIVAL.
WHEREAS, Cedar Valley Irish Fest Cultural Association is requesting a variance to the
Noise Ordinance August 4-7, 2022 in conjunction with the Irish Fest event, in and around
Lincoln Park and surrounding streets, for the duration of the festival, and
WHEREAS, said event will exceed the limits of Ordinance No. 3094, Noise Ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of the Cedar Valley Irish Fest Cultural Association, for a
variance to the Noise Ordinance, August 4-7, 2022 in conjunction with its annual Irish Fest
event, in and around Lincoln Park and surrounding streets, be granted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of July 2022.
