RESOLUTION APPROVING VARIANCE TO NOISE
ORDINANCE REQUEST FROM REV. DAVID VAN NETTEN
OF GRACE REFORMED CHURCH, IN CONJUNCTION WITH
THE "SUNDAY IN THE PARK" EVENT, TO BE HELD ON
AUGUST 14, 2022 FROM 8:00 A.M. TO 11:30 A.M. AT
GALLOWAY PARK, INCLUDING A WORSHIP SERVICE,
PICNIC, THE USE OF A PA SYSTEM AND LIVE MUSIC.
WHEREAS, Rev. David Van Netten, on behalf of Grace Reformed Church, has made
formal application for a variance to the Noise Ordinance for the "Sunday in the Park" event, to be
held at Galloway Park, August 14, 2022 from 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., including a worship
service, picnic, the use of a PA system and live music.
and,
WHEREAS, said event will exceed the limits of Ordinance No. 3094, Noise Ordinance,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of Rev. David Van Netten, on behalf of Grace Reformed
Church, for a variance to the Noise Ordinance for the "Sunday in the Park" event, to be held at
Galloway Park, August 14, 2022 from 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., including a worship service,
picnic, the use of a PA system and live music, is hereby granted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of July 2022.
