RESOLUTION NO. 2022-463 RESOLUTION AWARDING BID TO BITUMINOUS MATERIALS AND SUPPLY, LP OF DES MOINES, IOWA IN THE AMOUNT OF $8,035.68, (MINIMUM QUANTITY PER UNIT PRICE), $275,860.00 (MAXIMUM QUANTITY PER UNIT PRICE), IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE FY2023 ASPHALT EMULSIONS FOR THE CITY OF WATERLOO'S SEAL COATING PROGRAM, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT. WHEREAS, Bituminous Materials and Supply, LP of Des Moines, Iowa, submitted a bid in the amount of $8,035.68, (Minimum Quantity per unit price), $275,860.00 (Maximum Quantity per unit price), in conjunction with the FY 2023 Asphalt Emulsions for the City of Waterloo's Seal coating Program, and is the apparent low bidder, and WHEREAS, Bituminous Materials and Supply, LP, submitted a written contract, bond and certificate of insurance, per the specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said project with Resolution No. 2022-462, after public hearing on July 18, 2022, in conjunction with the FY 2023 Asphalt Emulsions for the City of Waterloo's Seal coating Program. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA 1. That the bid of Bituminous Materials and Supply, LP, in the amount of $8,035.68, (Minimum Quantity per unit price), $275,860.00 (Maximum Quantity per unit price), in conjunction with the FY 2023 Asphalt Emulsions for the City of Waterloo's Seal coating Program, is hereby awarded to Bituminous Materials and Supply, LP. 2. That the contract, bond and certificate of insurance submitted by Bituminous Materials and Supply, LP, in conjunction with the FY 2023 Asphalt Emulsions for the City of Waterloo's Seal coating Program, are hereby approved. 3. That the Mayor is authorized and directed to execute said documents on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
