RESOLUTION AWARDING BID TO LEHMAN TRUCKING &
EXCAVATING, INC., OF WATERLOO, IOWA, IN THE
AMOUNT OF $70,521.00, AND APPROVING THE
CONTRACT, BOND AND CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE IN
CONJUNCTION WITH DEMOLITION AND SITE
CLEARANCE SERVICES, CONTRACT NO. D-2022-07-05P,
LOCATED AT 928 MULBERRY STREET, 1526 E. 4TH
STREET, 1527 E. 4TH STREET, 307 SUMNER STREET, AND
335 SUMNER STREET, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, Lehman Trucking & Excavating, Inc., of Waterloo, Iowa, submitted a bid in
the amount of $70,521.00, in conjunction with Demolition and Site Clearance Services, Contract
No. D-2022-07-05P, located at 928 Mulberry Street, 1526 E. 4th Street, 1527 E. 4th Street, 307
Sumner Street, and is the apparent low bidder, and
WHEREAS, Lehman Trucking & Excavating, Inc., submitted a written contract, bond
and certificate of insurance, per the specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said
project with Resolution No. 2022-468, after public hearing on July 18, 2022, in conjunction with
Demolition and Site Clearance Services, Contract No. D-2022-07-05P, located at 928 Mulberry
Street, 1526 E. 4th Street, 1527 E. 4th Street, 307 Sumner Street.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of Lehman Trucking & Excavating, Inc., in the amount of $70,521.00, in
conjunction with Demolition and Site Clearance Services, Contract No. D-2022-07-05P,
located at 928 Mulberry Street, 1526 E. 4th Street, 1527 E. 4th Street, 307 Sumner Street,
is hereby awarded to Lehman Trucking & Excavating, Inc.
2. That the contract, bond and certificate of insurance submitted by Lehman Trucking &
Excavating, Inc., in conjunction with Demolition and Site Clearance Services, Contract
No. D-2022-07-05P, located at 928 Mulberry Street, 1526 E. 4th Street, 1527 E. 4th Street,
307 Sumner Street, are hereby approved.
3. That the Mayor is authorized and directed to execute said documents on behalf of the City
of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of July 2022.
