Moved by Jordan, seconded by Gronen that the Agenda, as proposed, be approved. Ayes:
Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Jordan, seconded by Gronen that the Minutes of May 29, 2001, as proposed, be
approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
The following bids received for the F.Y. 2001 Riverview Recreational Area Boat Ramp were
reviewed:

Borwig Building Service $20,494.00
Mike Dolan Concrete &Masonry, Inc. $14,965.00
It was the recommendation of the Associate Engineer that the low bid from Mike Dolan Concrete
& Masonry, Inc. in the amount of $14,965.00 be accepted. Moved by Gronen, seconded by
Jordan that said recommendation be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
The request of the Chief Financial Officer for authorization to seek requests for proposals for
auditing services was reviewed. The requests for proposals would be for one, two and three-year
periods beginning June 30, 2001. Moved by Jordan, seconded by Gronen that said request be
approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Gronen, seconded by Jordan that a garbage refund in the amount of$120.00 for 1220
Langley Road be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Jordan, seconded by Gronen that a travel request in the amount of $96.00 for
Collection Systems Foreman and Collection Systems Maintainer to attend collection system
certification exam in Marshalltown, Iowa be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Gronen, seconded by Jordan that the request of the Superintendent of Traffic
Operations for pre-authorization to expend $22,000.00 for directional bore for PVC conduit be
approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Jordan, seconded by Gronen that the request of the Director of Cultural & Arts
Commission for pre-authorization to expend $11,900.00 for artwork for the permanent collection
and public art project be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Gronen, seconded by Jordan that the request of the City Clerk for pre-authorization to
expend $4,300.00 for video camera, tripod, case for camera, VCR player, audio amplifier and
DV VCR player for the camera for the Public Access Studio be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion
carried.
Moved by Gronen, seconded by Jordan that the request of the Superintendent of Central Garage
for pre-authorization to expend not to exceed $1,300.00 for a Ford remanufactured automatic
transmission be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Jordan, seconded by Gronen that the request of the Leisure Services Director for
authorization to transfer $300.00 from Line Item 1112 (Salaries-Part Time) to Line Item 1128
(Retirement) be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
Moved by Jordan, seconded by Gronen that the request of the City Clerk for authorization to
increase Line Item 1307 (Lease) and decrease Line Item 1338 (Data Processing) in the amount of
$1,138.00 in Parking Administration Budget; increase Line Item 1123 (Disability Payment) in
