Moved by Jordan, seconded by Gronen that the Agenda, as proposed, be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Jordan, seconded by Gronen that the Minutes of March 19, 2001, as proposed, be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. The request of the City Clerk to approve renewal of the Boiler & Machinery Insurance Policy with Travelers Property Casualty at an annual cost of$l 3,900.00 was reviewed. The Boiler & Machinery Policy covers losses from boiler explosions and fires in all city building, with a $5,000 deductible and $5,000,000 limit per accident. Moved by Gronen, seconded by Jordan that said request be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. The following bids received to replace carpet at six Family Self-Sufficiency Homes were reviewed: Three Two Bidder Bedroom Units Bedroom Units The Flooring Gallery $1,032.00 per unit $ 765.00 per unit Town and Country $1,510.60 per unit $1,139.65 per unit One of the recommendations of the HUD inspector in July 2000 was to replace the worn carpet at the Family Self-Sufficiency Homes. Funds to purchase the carpet are available in the Ridgeway Towers Capital Fund Program Budget. It was the recommendation of the Housing Authority that the low bid of The Flooring Gallery in the amount of$1,032.00 per unit for three bedroom units and $765.00 per unit for two bedroom units be accepted. Moved by Jordan, seconded by Gronen that said recommendation be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. The request of the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor for authorization to repair the walk-in freezer at the Five Sullivan Brothers Convention Center at a cost not to exceed $5,000.00 was reviewed. The city is responsible for maintenance of the walk-in cooler and walk-in freezer for the food service area of the Five Sullivan Brothers Convention Center. The cooler and freezer bodies are still in good condition, but the refrigeration equipment for the freezer has exhausted its useful life. There have been $2,000.00 in repairs to the freezer in the past year. The proposed replacement refrigerant system uses a more economical and available refrigerant and can be expected to last for another 20 years. Funding for the repair is available from hotel/motel funds. Moved by Gronen, seconded by Jordan that said request be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Jordan, seconded by Gronen that the request of the Leisure Services Director to increase Line Item 1521 (Electrical) and Line Item 3873 (Reimbursements) in the amount of $80.00 be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Jordan, seconded by Gronen that the request of the Leisure Services Director to increase Line Item 1569 (Vehicle Parts) and Line Item 3722 (Refunds) in the amount of$31.00 be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Jordan, seconded by Gronen that the request of the Waterloo Housing Director to transfer $15,000.00 from Line Item 1710 (Claim & Contingency) to Line Item 1520 (Computer Software)be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Jordan, seconded by Gronen that the request of the Fire Chief to transfer $1,000.00 from Line Item 1315 (Education & Training) to Line Item 1394 (Food Service) be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Jordan, seconded by Gronen that the request of the Fire Chief to transfer $6,000.00 from Line Item 1114 (Time and Half) to Line Item 1400 (Utilities); $500.00 from Line Item 1114 (Time and Half)to Line Item 1112 (Part Time) be approved.
