Moved by Getty, seconded by Gronen that the Agenda, as proposed, be approved. Ayes: Three.
Motion carried.
Moved by Getty, seconded by Gronen that the Minutes of April 17, 2000, as proposed, be
approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
The following bids received for products for this year's oiling/sealing program were reviewed:

It was the recommendation of the Street Superintendent that the low bid in the amount of
$134,200.00 from Bituminous Materials be accepted. Moved by Getty, seconded by Gronen that
said recommendation be approved, subject to approval of Public Works Committee. Ayes:
Three. Motion carried.
The contract with K & W Electric for airfield lighting repairs for the period of May 1, 2000 to
April 30, 2001 was reviewed. The Waterloo Airport Board requested proposals for the airfield
lighting repairs for a one year period at the airport. Request for Proposals were mailed to K& W
Electric, MarcUs Electric, Jordan Electric, and All County Electric, with K & W Electric and
MarcUs Electric responding. On April 18, 2000 the Waterloo Airport Board approved the low
bid of K & W Electric. Moved by Getty, seconded by Gronen that the contract with K & W
Electric for airfield lighting repairs for the period of May 1, 2000 to April 30, 2001 be approved.

The following bids received for an aircraft hangar door for the Livingston Aviation's maintenance
shop were reviewed:

The difference between the proposals from Schweiss Bi-fold Doors is the usage of lift straps in
place of cables. The lift straps will lift the door faster and lifts more weight than cables. In
addition, the warranty for a door using cables is two years and by purchasing the door utilizing lift
straps the warranty period for the door is five years. It was the recommendation of the Waterloo
Airport Board that the bid from Schweiss Bi-fold doors in the amount of $15,246.95 for the
purchase and installation of the hangar door and the removal of the existing door at a cost of
