It was moved by Buck, seconded by Wright that the Agenda, as proposed, be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. The request of the Police Chief for authorization to purchase an optional enhancement to the laser radar detection unit approved by the Finance Committee on October 11, 1993 was reviewed. The original unit was purchased at a cost of $4, 019 . The additional enhancement will bring the total cost to $4 , 369. It was moved by Buck, seconded by Wright that the purchase of said additional enhancement be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. The request of the Police Chief for authorization to purchase items for the Waterloo Police Department Tactical Unit, Crime Lab and Tri-County Drug Task Force was reviewed: Item Number Cost Vacuum fuming equipment for Crime Lab $ 2100 Portable Alarm Unit $ 520 Yaesu Radio Batteries $ 768 Vehicle Repairs 2 $ 1330 Micro-Cassette Recorder $ 269 Ear-microphones 9 $ 4572 Gas Masks 4 $ 640 Diversionary Devices 36 $ 360 Tactical baton & scabbards 16 $ 778 Embroidered "Police" name tapes 43 $ 86 Tritium night sights 6 $ 540 TOTAL $12,004 It was the recommendation of the Police Chief that said items be purchased. It was moved by Wright, seconded by Buck that said purchase be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. It was moved by Buck, seconded by Wright that a garbage refund in the amount of $63 for 1004 Washington Street be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried. It was moved by Angel, seconded by Wright that the bills payment be approved as contained in Schedule A918, pp. 1 - 52 in the amount of $1,554,946. 81, dated December 6 , 1993 . Ayes: Two.
