Members present : Chairperson Angel and Buck.
Members absent : Wright .
It was moved by Buck, seconded by Angel that the Agenda, as
proposed, be approved. Ayes : Two. Absent : Wright . Motion
carried.
Discussion was heard on the request of Acting Clerk/Auditor
Michelle Temeyer to amend the schedule for the 1994 garbage
exemption applications . The newly adopted income schedule is
disqualifying senior citizens . It was the Acting Clerk/Auditor' s
recommendation that the schedule be continued for families with two
or more persons, but the following schedule be adopted for single
family households over 65 years of age :
If 1993 gross household income is Applicants will pay
Less than $8, 500 $2 . 00 per month
$8, 501 to $10, 000 $5 . 00 per month
It was moved by Buck, seconded by Angel that the amended schedule
as proposed be approved. Ayes : Two. Absent : Wright . Motion
carried.
The request of the Acting Fire Chief to seek bids for equipment for
the Hazardous Material Regional Training Center was discussed.
Equipment would include a computer work station with printer and
software, office furnishings including desks, bookcases, file
cabinets, and other miscellaneous supplies and equipment . These
items would be purchased with funds from the federal grant for the
Hazardous Material Regional Training Center. It was moved by Buck,
seconded by Angel that authorization to solicit bids as requested
be approved. Ayes : Two. Absent : Wright . Motion carried.
The request of the Police Chief to seek bids for cellular phone
service was reviewed. The current contracts have expired. The
bids would be for one year of service. It was moved by Buck,
seconded by Angel that authorization to solicit bids as requested
be approved. Ayes : Two. Absent : Wright . Motion carried.
The request of the Building Official to seek bids for A.D.A.
compliance for City Hall, Five Sullivan Brothers Convention Center,
Library and Recreation Center was discussed. The Building and
Grounds Committee has given authorization to proceed. The total
cost for all packages is not to exceed $100, 000 . Funds have
already been authorized under capital improvements ., It was moved
by Buck, seconded by Angel that authorization to solicit bids as
requested be approved. Ayes : Two. Absent : Wright . Motion
carried.
It was moved by Buck, seconded by Angel that the bills payment be
referred to the full Council for approval . Ayes : Two. Absent :
Wright . Motion carried.
With no further business before the committee, the meeting was
adjourned at 6 :48 p.m.
