Members present: Chairperson Angel, Wright and Buck.
It was moved by Buck, seconded by Wright that the Agenda, as
proposed, be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
The following bids were reviewed for communication equipment
maintenance for the Police Department:
Bidder Bid Amount
Iowa Radio Service, Inc. $ 913 . 00 per month
Radio Communications Co. Inc. $1322 . 00 per month
It was the recommendation of the Police Chief that the bid be
awarded to Iowa Radio Service. It was moved by Buck, seconded by
Wright that said recommendation be approved. Ayes : Three. Motion
carried.
The bid of Walden Photo for crime lab photographic supplies in the
amount of $12 , 534 . 37 was reviewed. Several other bidders were
notified but did not bid. It was suggested that in the future
additional bidders be solicited to assure low prices. It was moved
by Wright, seconded by Buck that said low bid be approved. Ayes :
Three. Motion carried.
The following bids were reviewed for parking violation notices for
the Clerk/Auditor' s Office:

It was the recommendation of the Clerk' s Office that the bid of
Uarco Business be approved. It was moved by Buck, seconded by
Wright that said recommendation be approved. Ayes: Three. Motion
carried.
The request of the City Planner for authorization to seek bids for
printing the amended Long Range Land Use Plan was reviewed. Said
plan is distributed to developers and interested members of the
public and shows the projected areas of development within the
city. The request will be for 500 prints with incremental
increases of 100 thereafter. It was moved by Buck, seconded by
Wright that authorization be given as requested. Ayes : Three.
Motion carried.
The request of the Fire Chief for authorization to purchase
training video tapes for confined space class conducted at the
Regional Training Center from Coastal Video Communication Corp. in
the amount of $650 was reviewed. It was moved by Buck, seconded by
Wright that authorization be given to purchase said items. Ayes:
Three. Motion carried.
