Members present: Chairperson Angel, Wright and Buck.
The Agenda, as amended was approved to include a second item
entitled, "Proposal from National Environmental Testing, Inc. for
analysis and collection of clearance air samples for asbestos
abatement" .
It was the recommendation of the Fire Chief that the low bid of
Robinson Engineering for geotechnical services in conjunction with
the Hazardous Material Training Center in an amount of $1, 100 plus
an additional cost of $150 for a third boring be approved. It was
also the recommendation of the Fire Chief that the proposal from
National Environmental Testing Inc. for the collection and analysis
of background and clearance air samples for the asbestos abatement
project in an amount not to exceed $2, 000 be approved.
It was moved by Buck, seconded by Wright that bid of Robinson
Engineering for said services be approved. Motion carried.
It was moved by Buck, seconded by Wright that authorization to
employ the services of National Environmental Testing Inc. for said
asbestos abatement air samples be approved. Motion carried.
It was moved by Angel, seconded by Wright that the bills payment be
approved as contained in Schedule A918 , pp. 1 - 27 in the amount of
$938,951 . 47, dated December 28, 1992 . Motion carried.
With no further business before the Committee, the meeting was
adjourned at 6: 45 p.m.
