Large Conference Room
Members present: Chairperson Angel, Wright and Buck.
It was moved by Wright, seconded by Buck that the Agenda, as
proposed, be approved. Motion carried.
Discussion on the E-Mail/Scheduling Software was delayed until the
end of the meeting.
It was moved by Buck, seconded by Wright that garbage refunds in
the amount of $94 . 80 for 1050 Sheffield Avenue, $189 . 60 for 1004

John Meyer, Public Works Director, stated that with the rejection
of all bids for the Anaerobic Lagoon project at the IBP facility,
the council directed the re-design and re-bidding of said project.
( see CR 99106 for City Council action rejecting said bid) The
4 current scope of services contract with Brice, Petrides-Donohue did
not contemplate this additional project cost. Approximate fee for
this re-design and re-bidding is $21 , 000 - $24, 000. If necessary,
the firm would bill the city for this amount depending on actual
project costs . It was moved by Buck, seconded by Wright that
authorization be given to increase the cost for engineering
services with Brice, Petrides-Donohue for said project. Motion
carried.
It was moved by Angel, seconded by Wright that the bills payment be
approved as contained in Schedule A918, pp. 1-55 in the amount of
$274 , 902 . 74 , dated April 13 , 1992 . Motion carried.
The following bids were reviewed for Electronic Mail and Calendar
Scheduling Software:
Bidder Amount
NoteWork Corp. ( Govt. pricing E-Mail only) $2877 . 30
NoteWork Corp. (E-Mail & Scheduling) $5567 . 00
PowerCore, Inc. (E-Mail & Scheduling) $5567 . 00
AmeriData (E-Mail & Scheduling) $3958 . 00
Microsystems ( Scheduling only) $1791. 00
Advanced Computers (E-Mail & Scheduling) $2085 . 00
It was the recommendation of the Planning Department that the bid
of AmeriData in the amount of $3958 be approved noting that the low
bid of NoteWork Corp. does not meet the specifications.
Bill Ratekin, Transportation Engineer, presented a demonstration on
each of the software programs. As outlying departments are
hardwired to the system, additional software purchases would be
necessary; however, departments currently on network would be able
to use said software programs. It was moved by Buck, seconded by
Wright that authorization be given to purchase said software from
AmeriData. Motion carried.
With no further business before the Committee, the meeting was
adjourned at 6 : 58 p.m.
