Motion carried.
The request of the Police Chief for authorization to allow Hawkeye
Alarm Company to trade a pin-hole lens, Computar brand, Model
SM935, 9mm, with a 3 . 5 F stop, for a Fidelity cap blasting machine
was reviewed. The blasting machine was purchased by the City in
1978 and used by the Department ' s bomb squad but due to its size
and weight is seldom used. The Chief noted that the camera
equipment value is far greater than the blasting machine that they
are giving to Hawkeye Alarm Company. It was moved by Buck,
seconded by Wright that authorization be given to trade said
blasting machine for photographic equipment. Motion carried.
The request of Metroplitan Transit for authorization to extend
MET' s present line of credit until May 1, 1992 was reviewed. The
City of Waterloo would guarantee the loan for MET Transit in lieu
of federal payments. If MET Transit would default on said loan
payment the City would then be obligated to transmit to the
National Bank subsidies previously approved and authorized to MET.
It was moved by Buck, seconded by Wright that said line of credit
from MET Transit be extended to May 1, 1992 . Motion carried.
The following quotes were reviewed for a check signer/buster and
stand for use by the Clerk/Auditor' s Office:
