Members present: Chairperson Angel, Wright and Buck.
It was moved by Buck, seconded by Wright that the Agenda, as
proposed, be approved. Motion carried.
A correction to the marked police vehicle bid that was
approved by the Finance Committee on September 3 , 1991 , was
reviewed. On that date, the net cost including trade-in was
$91, 336 . The corrected recommendation should be as follows:

Purchase 6 - 1992 Chevrolet Caprices $99,246. 00
less trade-in option/5 vehicles 7, 360.00
Total net cost $91 ,886. 00
The additional $550 was to reflect a different trade-in
vehicle. The corrected total for the six marked and two
unmarked police vehicles was as follows:

Unmarked vehicles net cost 17,708 . 00
Total $109, 594 . 00
It was moved by Buck, seconded by Wright that the amended
police vehicle bid be approved. Motion carried.
The following bids were reviewed for a lateral storage file,
Hon 500 Series, Model 595-L as follows:

Office Concepts 634. 00
It was the recommendation of the Police Chief that the low
bid of Lincoln' s in the amount of $486. 00 be approved. It
was moved by Wright, seconded by Buck that said
recommendation be approved. Motion carried.
The request of the Police Chief for authorization to approve
the purchase of 25, 000 rounds of . 40 caliber ammunition from
Accurate Ammunition, Rapid City, South Dakota, in the amount
of $4, 450 was reviewed. Chief Koehrsen stated that bids had
been sought earlier in the year with the award made to
Accurate Ammunition. This request would be for an
additional order from this low bidder. It was moved by
Buck, seconded by Wright that authorization be given to
purchase said ammunition. Motion carried.
The following bids were reviewed for the construction of a
metal building at the Police Training Center (Jewett School
on North Elk Run Road) :

( 24 ' 30 'x9 ' gable roof) $7,694
It was the recommendation of the Police Department that the
bid of Corn Belt Builders in the amount of $7,583 be
approved. This bid includes a 24 'x30 ' 9 ' gable roof building
at a base price of $7,694, minus $205 for a 29 gauge steel,

It was moved by Buck, seconded by Wright that authorization
be given to seek bids for the purchase of ammunition for
F.Y. 1992. Motion carried.
It was moved by Wright, seconded by Buck that authorization
be given to seek bids for fire hose for the Fire Department.
Motion carried.
It was moved by Angel, seconded by Wright that the bills
payment be approved as contained in Schedule A918, pp. 1-47 ,
in the amount of $1, 678, 953 . 86 dated September 9, 1991.
Abstain: Buck. Motion carried.
With no further business before the Committee, the meeting
was adjourned at 6: 50 p.m.
