Members present: Chairperson Angel, Buck.
Members absent: Wright.
It was moved by Buck, seconded by Angel that the Agenda, as
amended to add Item No. 3 under New Business, entitled
"Authorization to seek bids for fencing for storage area on
Black Hawk Street adjacent to the Public Works storage
area--Police Chief" be approved. Motion carried.
The following bids were reviewed for marked and unmarked
police vehicles:

It was the recommendation of the Police Chief that ( 1 ) the
bid of Rydell Chevrolet for six ( 6 ) marked, police package
vehicles be approved less the trade-in option of five
vehicles for a total net cost of $91 , 336 and, ( 2) to accept
the bid of Dick Witham Ford for two unmarked vehicles plus
trade-in of two vehicles for a net cost of $17 ,708 . The
total recommendation was for the purchase of vehicles
totalling $109, 044 . Ford did not bid the marked vehicles
since they currently do not have a marked vehicle package.
It was moved by Buck, seconded by Angel that authorization
be given to purchase said vehicles as requested. Motion
carried.
Chairperson Angel announced that it was the recommendation
of the Police Chief that all bids be rejected for Phase V
(office furniture) of the City Hall Renovation Project and
that authorization be given to re-bid said project. Due to
the absence of Councilperson Wright and the possible
conflict of Mr. Buck voting on this matter, this item was
referred to the full City Council for action.
