Members present: Chairperson Angel, Wright and Buck.
It was moved by Buck, seconded by Wright that the Agenda, as
proposed, be approved. Motion carried.
The following bids were reviewed for the purchase of a new
brake lathe for the Central Garage:

Larry Cunningham, Superintendent of the Central Garage,
noted that two identical price quotes were received but that
the bid of G & G Auto Parts included a far more complete
accessory package then the other similar bid from I .W.I .
Motor Parts. It was his recommendation that the bid of G &
G Auto Parts be approved. It was moved by Buck, seconded by
Wright that said recommendation be approved. Motion
carried.
It was moved by Buck, seconded by Wright that authorization
be given to the Police Department to seek bids for
laboratory supplies and uniforms for F.Y. 1992. Motion
carried.
The request of the Fire Department for authorization to seek
bids on an emergency alert system (P.A. ) was reviewed.
Frank Magsamen, Assistant Fire Chief, stated that the
current system was installed in 1969 and is no longer
serviceable. The Department is currently using the back up
system. The Chief recommended that the expenditure be from
the 1992 lease purchase budget for the Fire Department.
Larry P. Burger, City Clerk/Auditor, asked that the Finance
Committee
consider approving the purchase subject to his review of the
financing of this item through the City' s lease purchase
program. It was moved by Buck, seconded by Wright that
authorization be given to seek bids on said equipment
subject to further review of the financing plan for this
item. Motion carried.
It was moved by Wright, seconded by Buck that a garbage
refund in the amount of $15. 80 be approved for 425 Reber
Avenue. Motion carried.
