It was moved by Buck, seconded by Wright that the Agenda, as
proposed, be approved. Motion carried.
Bob Stevenson, City Planner, presented the following bids
for the purchase of standardized word processing software:

It was the recommendation of the Computer Technical Review
Committee that low bid of Team Connecting Point in the
amount of $2,060 for the licensing and two reference
manuals, and two ( 2) additional manuals, for a total bid of
$2, 102 . 90 be approved. It was moved by Buck, seconded by
Wright that said recommendation be approved. Motion
carried.
The request of John Meyer, Public Works Director, for the
purchase of two used crew cab four-door pickups was
reviewed. Larry Cunningham, Central Garage Superintendent,
has assisted in the purchase and has identified two vehicles
for a total cost of $6, 500 that would adequately allow the
transport of Operation Pride personnel and equipment. It
was moved by Wright, seconded by Buck that authorization be
given to purchase said vehicles. Motion carried.
The request of the Police Department for authorization to
submit a grant application for Drug Abuse Resistance
Education (D.A.R.E. ) Program funding was reviewed. This
application would support the police school liaison program
which has an estimated F.Y. 1992 cost of $150,000 . The
application is requesting $11, 187 . 60 in federal funding for
supplies, equipment, training and travel expenses. If
approved, the City must submit a $3 ,729 . 20 cash match for a
