Members present: Chairperson Angel, Wright.
Members absent: Buck.
It was moved by Wright, seconded by Angel that the Agenda,
as proposed, be approved. Motion carried.
The following bids and recommendations were reviewed for the
purchase of miscellaneous chemicals and accessories by the
Park Commission:
Tri State Turf $6,170 .01
Grass Roots Turf 8, 425. 62
Big Bear 3, 266. 00
Brayton/Wilbur-Ellis 7, 208 .05
UAP Special Products 1, 407 .80
United Seeds 59 . 00
Jordan' s Nursery 265 . 00
The following bids and recommendations were reviewed for the
purchase of a gang mower for the Park Commission:
Tri State Turf Toro Reelmaster $12, 359 . 00
Big Bear Jacobsen Blitzer 11, 356 . 00
w/ Blitzer frame
Big Bear Jacobsen Blitzer 11, 500 . 00
w/ Fairway frame
Big Bear Jacobsen Fairway 10, 150 . 00
w/ Fairway frame
Even though Tri State Turf was the high bidder on the gang
mower, the Park Commission recommended the award of this bid
since the other bidders did not meet specifications. It was
moved by Wright, seconded by Angel that said recommendations
be approved and purchase approved. Motion carried.
It was moved by Wright, seconded by Angel that a garbage
refund in the amount of $31.60 be approved for 1921
Hawthorne Avenue. Motion carried.
It was moved by Angel, seconded by Wright that the bills
payment be approved as contained in Schedule A918, pp. 1-55,
in the amount of $438, 479 . 99 dated March 18, 1991 . Motion
carried.
With no further business before the Committee, the meeting
was adjourned at 6: 35 p.m.
