Members present: Chairperson Angel, Wright and Buck.
It was moved by Buck, seconded by Wright that the Agenda, as
proposed, be approved. Motion carried.
The following bids were reviewed for a copier for the Police
Department:
Advanced Systems, Inc.
Bid: Cannon #3825 less our trade-in $5,228.00
Annual cost of maintenance agreement 540. 00
Total cost $5,768. 00
Automated Business Products
Bid: Sharp #SF8350 less our trade-in $5,692. 00
Annual cost of maintenance agreement 627. 00
Total cost $6,319. 00
Black Hawk Business Systems
Bid: Konica #2590 less our trade-in $5,694. 00
Annual cost of maintenance agreement 728. 28
Total cost $6,422. 28
Lincoln' s Office Supply
Bid: Mita #DC2285 less our trade-in $5,228.00

Total cost $6,016.00
It was the recommendation of the Police Department that the
low compliant bidder of Advanced Systems, Inc. be approved,
including service and toner agreement. It was moved by
Wright, seconded by Angel that said recommendation be
approved. Motion carried.
The request of the Police Chief for authorization to
purchase supplies needed in the classroom in connection with
the Drug Abuse Resistance Education program (D.A.R.E. ) was
reviewed. The school system is supplying some of the
necessary items with the remaining items to be purchased by
the City in the amouht of $1,074. 40. Funds for these items
are available in the Crime Prevention line item of the
Police Department budget. It was moved by Wright, seconded
by Buck that authorization to proceed with the purchase of
said supplies be approved. Motion carried.
It was moved by Wright, seconded by Buck that the bills
payment be referred to the City Council for approval as
contained in Schedule A918, pp. 1-57, in the amount of
$1, 218,130. 16 dated January 14, 1991. Motion carried.
With no further business before the Committee, the meeting
was adjourned at 6: 40 p.m.
