Members present: Chairperson Angel, Wright and Buck.
Moved by Wright, seconded by Buck that the Agenda be approved, as
proposed. Motion carried.
The request of Police Chief Bernal Koehrsen to purchase the
fourth and final police dog and the training of the police dog
and handler was reviewed. Contributions have been received from
individuals and groups throughout the community for the purchase
and training of police dogs . Three dogs have been purchased,
trained and are now being used on a daily basis by the Police
Department. Sufficient funds have been received for the purchase
of the fourth dog and to provide the necessary training and
equipment.
Moved by Wright, seconded by Buck that authorization be given to
the Police Department to purchase the fourth police dog. Motion
carried.
The request of the City Attorney to run an advertisement in one
of the legal publications to sell old law books that have been
stored for several years and no longer used by the City
Attorney' s Office was discussed.
Moved by Buck, seconded by Wright that the City Attorney be
authorized to advertise the sale of old law books. Motion
carried.
Moved by Wright, seconded by Buck that a garbage refund for 215
Home Park Boulevard in the amount of $47 . 40 be approved. Motion
carried.
Moved by Wright, seconded by Buck that a garbage refund for 2222
Falls Avenue in the amount of $67 . 80 be approved. Motion
carried.
Moved by Angel, seconded by Wright that the bills payment be
approved as contained in Schedule A918, pp. 1-53, in the amount
of $789, 076 . 65, dated January 7, 1991. Motion carried.
With no further business before the Committee, the meeting was
adjourned at 6: 38 p.m.
