It was moved by Buck, seconded by Angel that the Agenda, as proposed, be approved. Motion carried. The following bids were reviewed for the purchase of snow plows and hydraulics for sand spreaders for the Street Department: Total Bid Waterloo Truck Sales-Hawkeye Truck Waterloo, Iowa $87,180 Truck Country of Iowa Dubuque, Iowa $87,896 Don' s Truck Sales, Inc. Fairbank, Iowa $91,894 It was the recommendation of the Superintendent of Streets that the bid be awarded to the low bidder, Waterloo Truck Sales Services with Hawkeye Truck Equipment. It was moved by Buck, seconded by Wright that said recommendation be approved. Motion carried. The request of the City Planner for authorization to seek quotes from local retail businesses for the replacement of the overhead projector for use in the City Hall Council Chambers was reviewed. It was Mr. Stevenson' s recommendation that bids be sought on the 3M Model 313 . It was moved by Wright, seconded by Buck that authorization be given as requested. Motion carried. The following bids were reviewed for Site Clearance in conjunction with the Greenhill Road construction: Dilley Excavating $2,875. 00 Lehman Trucking & Excavating $3 , 200.00 It was the recommendation of the City Planner that the contract be awarded to Dilley Excavating. It was moved by Buck, seconded by Wright that said recommendation be approved. Motion carried. Fire Chief Stan Stapella reported that the Waterloo Fire Department is actively soliciting funds from the public for the purchase of a weather station as part of the hazardous material program. The cost of the equipment is approximately $20, 000. It was moved by Buck, seconded by Angel that the Fire Department be given said authorization to purchase said equipment with funds solicited through donations. Motion carried. The calendar year 1991 sewer exemption schedule was reviewed. Two options were presented. The schedules were as follows: A. Incomes less than $ 7,000 = Total Freeze Incomes $7,001 to $ 8, 500 = 50% Freeze Incomes $8,501 to $10,000 = 25% Freeze B. Total Rate Freeze for Incomes $10, 000 or less.
